We require a refundable deposit equal to 30% of the total rental value. For cinema cameras and high-value equipment, the deposit is 50% of the rental value. The deposit is held as security against damage or loss and is returned in full within 5 working days after equipment is returned in good condition. We accept payment by bank transfer or credit card.
Basic insurance coverage is included in all rentals, covering equipment against theft and major damage. This coverage includes a £250 excess. We offer an optional damage waiver for an additional fee, which reduces the excess to £100 and provides more comprehensive protection. Clients are responsible for equipment whilst it is in their possession and must report any damage or issues immediately.
All equipment is provided in full working order and is tested before collection. We conduct a joint inspection with the client at handover. Upon return, equipment should be in the same condition, accounting for normal wear from professional use. Minor surface marks are acceptable, but any damage affecting functionality must be reported. Equipment should be returned clean and in its original case or packaging.
Cancellations made more than 7 days before the rental start date receive a full refund minus a £25 administrative fee. Cancellations made 3-7 days before receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 3 days before the rental start date are non-refundable, though we may offer credit towards a future rental depending on circumstances. We understand that production schedules can change and try to accommodate where possible.
If equipment develops a fault during your rental period through no fault of your own, contact us immediately. We will arrange replacement equipment where possible or provide a full refund for the affected portion of your rental. If equipment is faulty at collection despite pre-rental testing, we provide immediate replacement or a full refund. Our priority is ensuring you have working equipment for your production.
Extensions are subject to equipment availability and must be requested at least 24 hours before your current rental period ends. If the equipment is not booked by another client, we can extend your rental at the standard daily rate. Please contact us as early as possible to discuss extensions, as we cannot guarantee availability, particularly during busy periods.
